singing voice habilitation
A Singing Voice Specialist (SVS) is a singing teacher with advanced training in working with injured singing voices. As an SVS, Megan partners with laryngologists (ENTs) and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to habilitate singers, actors, and professional voice users who have experienced vocal injuries. Megan is not a licensed physician or speech-language pathologist, and does not give medical advice.
Megan works closely with the clinical voice care team and is dedicated to providing:
An integrative approach to vocal wellness that cultivates mind-body-voice awareness for maintaining authentic communication.
Yoga practices for managing the emotional and physical effects of vocal trauma
Individual sessions tailored to the specific functional and creative goals of the client
If you are a singer diagnosed with a vocal injury and would benefit from singing voice habilitation, please fill out this contact form for assistance. It is important to note that the SVS works in close cooperation with the ENT, SLP, and the injured singer’s current teacher (if applicable) and is not in competition or conflict with the current teacher/student relationship.
