A Singing Voice Specialist (SVS) is a singing teacher with advanced training in working with injured singing voices. As an SVS, Megan is a critical member of the voice care team, which also includes the otolaryngologist (ENT), and Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Although Megan works with the voice care team, she is not a licensed physician or speech-language pathologist, and does not give medical advice. Through a series of weekly sessions and in cooperation with the client’s medical team, she creates individually chosen singing plans to rehabilitate injured singers.
If you are a singer diagnosed with a vocal injury (including but not limited to vocal nodules, polyp, contact ulcer/granuloma, Muscle Tension Dysphonia, Spasmodic Dysphonia, vocal fold hemorrhage, paralysis/paresis, Laryngopharyngeal/Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, etc.) and require singing voice rehabilitation, please fill out a contact form for assistance. It is important to note that the SVS works in close cooperation with the ENT, SLP and the injured singer’s current teacher (if applicable) and is not in competition or conflict with the current teacher/student relationship.
